Donald Trump risks opening up a major diplomatic dispute with China before he has even been inaugurated after speaking on the telephone on Friday with Tsai Ing-wen,the president of Taiwan.
The call is believed to be the first between a US president or president- elect and a leader of Taiwan since diplomatic relations between the two are cut in 1979.Tsai made a call to Trump to congratulate him on winning the election, which caused criticism from people in Taiwan, accusing Tsai of being flattering.
Approximately a year ago, Tsai was said to send gifts-a picture of 3 pigs painted by herself to Hilary and wished her to win the election. According to this, foreign minister of  China, Wang Yi, acclaimed on the press conference that this was a little trick of Taiwan, which will bring no alteration to the relationship between US and China.
